SigBee Supporting Ohio Children’s Services Organizations

Employee Engagement Company Helping Increase Employee Engagement, Reduce Burnout and Turnover

COLUMBUS, OHIO, May 16, 2023 – SigBee, an innovative employee engagement platform that promotes employee wellness and organizational health, has contracted with job and family service organizations across Ohio to help increase team engagement and manager effectiveness and decrease burnout and turnover.

“SigBee is trying to solve the problem of organizations needing a better way to show up for their employees to make work healthier and better,” said SigBee CEO Alistair Deakin.

The employee engagement platform is especially relevant in the post-pandemic workplace, where 80% of workers are unengaged at work; 41% are thinking about leaving their jobs; and 54% of those who do leave say they’ve done so because they feel undervalued by their managers.*

In Williams, County, Ohio, SigBee is helping The Department of Job and Family Services establish trust and inclusivity, strengthen staff relationships, and build culture. Simple, daily check-ins encourage proactive engagements and provide actionable executive insights.

“Workforce retention is a focal point in the county, and it’s especially important in the field of children’s services,” said Department of Job and Family Services Executive Director Fred Lord. “Retention is critical to our ability to create and maintain established relationships with Williams County families in need and to provide consistent service to them. We know that employee engagement and organizational health are foundational to our efforts to avoid turnover and staff vacancies, so we embraced SigBee as another opportunity for problem solving.”

SigBee also has collaborated with Wood County (Ohio) Job and Family Services in Bowling Green, Ohio; Cadence Care Network, a nonprofit agency in Niles, Ohio, focused on the behavioral and emotional well-being of children; and Lighthouse Youth and Family Services in Dayton, Ohio.

SigBee’s similar work with the Larimer County (Colorado) Department of Human Services enabled the organization to achieve an 80% improvement in revolving vacancies. A Department division that had historical turnover as high as 40% currently has no vacancies. Instead, the Department has a waiting list for case wokers – which had never happened before.

“At the end of the day, it’s that coffee pot moment,” said Deakin. “It’s picking up the signals that allow humans to show up for each other in a better way.
